Proceeds from B.E.A.C.H.E.S. special events are used to fund its Save Our Beaches and Haulover Capital Improvement funds. Past Capital Improvement projects include the beachside showers, tiki huts and electric beach wheelchairs (since removed to another location by the Parks Dept.) A current project is to obtain Mobi-Chairs and Mobi-Mats to enhancement access to the beach for persons with disabilities. ...more info |
