PROFESSIONAL MASSAGE THERAPY AT HAULOVER BEACH

For more than a year, B.E.A.C.H.E.S. Foundation offered beachside therapeutic massage by professional licensed massage therapists under its Program Partnership Agreement with the Miami-Dade County Park & Recreation department.

In 2007, former Park Department Director Vivian Donnell Rodriguez revoked that part of the Program Partnership Agreement, stating that such therapeutic massage therapy  did not fit the ‘image’ of the park.

We should note that the Parks Department has no ‘image’ issue with the park concessionaire, Toby’s Frozen Lemonade, selling alcoholic beverages on the beach.
